"He is not God of the dead, but of the living"MY CONVERSIONGod's journey in life is different for each person. I believe He started with me the day I was born.
Each thing and person in my life , led me to the Catholic Church. When I was young , I read about all the different religions and attended all the different ones . Each were good and had something different to enhance my experience with God. There was a time that I thought I would like to be a Buddist. What a beautiful religion. But then, I discovered Lutherans, etc.
When I got to Catholicism, I found that there was no end. Reminded me that with God there is no beginning nor ending. I chose to go to a Catholic boarding school for three years. Then as a young adult, I converted on October 31 - Halloween at a 6:00 p.m. Mass. At a Cursillo for women , I gave a talk on Conversion- the difference between Jim Jones and Mother Theresa [where their choices took them]. We all have choices. I had mine and followed God to where I am now.
Conversion is a daily process and doesn't stop till death and maybe not even then.
The Eucharist was the strong point in converting. It is taken at every Mass and it is real; not symbolic as protestants believe. Here I am today, and the Church still excites me even more because there is so much to learn and know and it keeps my faith growing.
Daily, I'm renewed and excited about something else that I learn and it keeps my faith growing. I have not yet come to the end where my 'new religion' has become boring, stagnant, nor exciting. I'm on an adventure, a journey with God and it only gets better with time.

~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ MY COMPANION ANGEL Asking an Angel for help is one of our most powerful spiritual practices in our history of religion. We can ask the Angels for immediate help at any time and in any place. They are also a gift from God to keep us safe from harm and bring us closer to Him.A Jewish proverb says that... When I was a young teacher, I had to travel an interstate and then get off on a two lane highway to get to school. During the long ride to and from school, I always had conversations with my angel, God and Mother. I never felt alone while travelling."Every blade of grass has an Angel bending over it saying, 'Grow, Grow!'"
One early morning in winter, as the fog was lifting fast, I was about to turn on the two lane highway, when I sensed my angel telling me not to go that way. Being who I am, I was arguing, that it would take another 10 minutes to get to school if I kept going on the interstate to the next highway turn off.
Ramael, my guardian Angel was most persistent! So, I went the long way. I was on time but not early like I wanted.Later that morning, the teachers were told of a horrible wreck. It happened just as you turn off on to that two way highway that I normally travel. It involved an eight wheeler, and two cars. One car had pulled on to the highway with two of our school children and caused the eight wheeler to stop abruptly. The car behind the truck went under the truck and was crushed. The children, their mother and the truck driver were fine. The man in the crushed car was taken to the hospital. He was driving a large car and they said that is was what saved him. I drove a little 'super Beatle'. Due to the early hour, there was not a lot of traffic. I would have been that car under the truck! My angel kept me safe to live another day, just so he could listen to me yack his head off for the last thirty years! :)
